African Rainbow Craft is a dynamic and multifaceted platform, a mood board of creative context. We curate, stock, and sell items made from only the finest materials with details of craftsmanship. The founder, Harold Keller, was born and raised in South Africa and left to study economics in Germany in 1993. Subsequently, he built a career in investment banking. African culture and „way of life“ is still very close to his heart today and with this platform – bridging the two worlds which now make up his life – a dream comes true.

We see ourself as the first “Contemporary Eurafrican” interior design and artisanal online platform in Europe.

The African Rainbow Craft brand identity was developed within a dynamic, multi-faceted, and increasingly global African context. As this unique brand draws upon its personal context, the natural environment and the diverse cultures, and the people who curate and create these unique objects d’art. We believe in the creative power and entrepreneurial skills of people in Africa. The goal is to demonstrate that products made in Africa can compete in the global marketplace, while at the same time creating employment for the artists; in the hope they will be able to change their and their children’s future.

The logo concept is stylised and inspired by the African pattern, symbolising seeds: the seed; a seed is a mystery. It is both beginning and end, nothing and everything. A seed sits easily in the palm of the hand and yet grows into a living structure. It is a single grain, yet it is the source of a thousand grains. It can be stored for many years, and then be stirred into life in days. A seed is the whole universe in a grain of sand.
