A decorative ceramic vase with a unique design. The vase has a wide, rounded body that narrows into a flared neck. It features intricate patterns and textures:
- The body is decorated with horizontal bands of detailed dot and floral patterns in colors such as orange, red, blue, and yellow on a dark base.
- The neck is in a contrasting light green color with a geometric grid-like pattern.
- The bottom section of the vase has an earthy, terracotta-colored finish.

Fezile Ntoshfu is an artist who, having worked at Potterswork for many years, has recently begun working independently to develop his own artistic expression. These handmade pieces are incredibly unique and special and have been well received by the industry and buying public alike. At present, his creative journey continues to evolve as he takes inspiration from traditional elements of Xhosa culture, however these are some unique pieces that we currently have available.
He was the winner of the New Signature Award at the 2022 Ceramics Southern Africa National Exhibition, Fezile Ntshofu is a local ceramicist who has worked in the industry for over 20 years. Having studied at the Sivuyile College in Gugulethu, he has worked primarily as a surface decoration painter at Potterswork, helping to forge the distinctive painting style for which the range is renowned and has recently moved into exploring new forms in clay which were included in the iconic Corobrik Collection, South Africa’s premier contemporary ceramic collection.
